Class of 57 Tommy’s selling used cars, Nancy’s fixing nails. Harvey runs a grocery store and Margaret doesn’t care. Jerry drives a truck for Sears, Charlotte on the make. And Paul sells life insurance and part time real estate. Helen is a hostess. Frank works at the mill. Janet teaches grade school and probably always will. Bob works for the city. And Jack’s in lab research. And Peggy play organ at the Presbyterian Church. And the class of ’57 had its dreams. We all thought we’d change the world with our great work & deeds. Or maybe we just thought the world would change to fit our needs. The class of ’57 had its dreams. Betty runs a trailer park. Jan sells Tupperware. Randy on an insane ward. Mary’s on ware fare. Charlie took a job at Ford. Joe took Freddie’s wife. Charlotte took a millionaire. And Freddie took his life. Johnny’s big in cattle. Ray is deep in debt. Where Mavis finally would up is anybodies guess. Linda married Sonny. Brenda married me. And the class of all of us are just part of history. And the class of ’57 had its dreams. Greetings GHS Class of '57 Half a century!  Where did the time go?  Seems it was only yesterday that we were rolling out the barrel for the Coaldigger Maroon Wave ball games.   Plan now to join the Gary High School Class of '57 in reminiscing about those days gone by, renewing old acquaintances and having some fun.   What better way to kick off the next half century! Mark October 19- October 21, 2007 on your calendar.  Those dates have been reserved for a Class of '57 reunion at the Pipestem Resort State Park where you can enjoy the beautiful West Virginia fall foliage and many other amenities of the park.  Recreational opportunities include golf, tennis, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, etc, and of course, we will have a golf tournament scheduled.  You can learn more about the park at www.pipestemresort.com   An ad hoc committee is in the process of developing the plans and details.  You are also invited to participate in the planning and insuring the success of the reunion.  First and foremost, plan to attend.  Second, let us know what you would like to see included in or excluded from the reunion agenda, all ideas are welcome.  Volunteer if you would like to help the ad hoc committee in preparing for the reunion. The first priority is to get the word out to all of our classmates.  Thus, this letter is being sent to all classmates for whom we have an address.  Unfortunately we do not have addresses for everyone.  We want to make every effort to locate the missing classmates.  A list of the missing is in-cluded in the encloseure to this letter.  Help us locate them As part of the planning process we need your feedback regarding interest in the reunion as well as other basic information.  Please complete the encloseure and return it to us as soon as possible or you may reply to any of the following committee members via email.
